La Consecration
What is a consecration?
This is the act by which a person or community totally and irrevocably gives themselves to God. For a baptised person, it corresponds to the solemn renewal of their baptismal consecration.
Why devote yourself to the Heart of Jesus?
According to the Gospel of John as read in Tradition, the water of baptism flows from Jesus' pierced Heart on the Cross (Jn 19:34). Consecration to the Heart of Jesus is therefore the Christian's response of love to the love of Christ who gave himself for him (Gal 2:20; Jn 19:37). It is an act of faith, hope, and love by which we recognise Christ's Lordship over us and place ourselves in His hands to return love for love.
How to consecrate oneself?
01 Personal dedication
Through personal consecration, by renewing our baptismal consecration and by committing ourselves to the affairs of Christ (prayers, sacraments, works of mercy), persuaded that He will in turn take care of ours.
02 Family consecration
Through family consecration, to renew the grace of the sacrament of marriage and to entrust one's family to the Lord so that He may be its King and protector! In Paray-le-Monial, Jesus promised peace to families and the blessing of houses where His Sacred Heart would be exposed.
03 National consecration
By the renewal of France's consecration, asking God to pour upon our country the floods of love that gush from the pierced Heart of his Son. For the baptised, it signifies a commitment to better live the graces of their baptism.
To dedicate oneself personally
"Lord Jesus, You who came to set a fire on earth, I surrender myself today to will for Father and Soufflé The The Spirit. Purify my heart, embrace it with love and charity, grow in me the desire for holiness. And through the Immaculate Heart The Marie, I dedicate myself entirely to your Heart to love and serve you.
Dedicate time to family
" Heart of Jesus, You who consecrated yourself to the Father out of love for us, we want, in your breath Holy Spirit, to consecrate our lives and families to you through love, all that we are, the children the Father has given us and those he would still like to give us. We consecrate our homes, our work and our simplest actions to you. We consecrate our trials and our joys to you so that the love with which you have loved us may keep us in You and remain in us for ever; so that the fire of your Love may set the whole world ablaze and that The rivers of Living Water from your open Heart springing forth unto eternal life, Amen.
