Before starting The Sacred Heart® Journey "Deepening" ...
Most of the teachings on this Course are given from the heart. It is not primarily a question of delivering a doctrine but of allowing an experience of the Heart of Jesus. In the Bible, the heart speaks through the mouth, and orality is the primary means of enabling hearts to receive the message. In fact, at Paray le Monial, Jesus promised those who bore witness to the love of his Heart, particularly through words, to touch even the most hardened of hearts:
“My divine Lord made me hear,» wrote Marguerite-Marie to her director, «that those who labour for the salvation of souls will have the art of touching the most hardened hearts and will work with wonderful success if they themselves are filled with tender devotion to the divine Heart.» Or again, regarding the Jesuit fathers who will speak «of this precious treasure»: "This divine Heart will pour forth so much of the sweet unction of its charity upon their words, that they will penetrate the most hardened hearts like a two-edged sword; and the most criminal souls will be led by this means to salutary penance." .
However, because of the oral nature of these recordings, there may be awkwardness of expression, omissions or even inaccuracies. We have therefore included here the written text on which they were based. In some respects, this text is more complete, while in others additional details are given in the videos. The source text and videos are therefore complementary. Moreover, chapter 3 of the Source Text is presented in part in the video for Stage 3 (Gospel of Saint John) and in part at the beginning of Stage 5 devoted to Saint Paul (Apocalypse and Letters of Saint John). It was impossible to cover the whole of St John in a video lasting less than an hour, and a one-hour format would have been too long for the video on St Paul. However, it makes more sense to present the writings of Saint John in the same chapter of the source document, showing faith (Gospel), hope (Revelation) and charity (letters). Finally, it should be noted that Chapter 4 is also devoted to Saint John, since it involves reading the Song in the light of Saint John (and vice versa).

The Parcours Cœur de Jésus® was created by Father Martin Pradère at the request of and with the assistance of the Association Civilisation de l’Amour®.
Step 1 Presentation of the Paray-le-Monial Route and Message
The journey aims to introduce one to the mystery of the Heart of Jesus, which two popes, Pius XI and Pius XII, said constituted in a way the «summary of all religion». It is thus, in a way, a neo-catechumenal catechism, who prepares for a personal or family consecration to the Heart of Jesus.
The Message of Paray-le-Monial presents the apparitions of Jesus that Stea Marguerite-Marie when she was in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the 17th centurynd century in Paray-le-Monial.

Step 2 The message of mercy
Devotion to the Divine Mercy, the gateway to the mystery of the Heart of Jesus, of which it is, in a way, the inculturation for our time!
This message was given to St. Faustina (1905-1938), a Polish nun to whom Jesus appeared and asked her to transmit the Message of Divine Mercy to the world.

Step 3 The Message of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Gospel of John
The Gospel of John can be seen as the very best of the Scriptures. The episode of the pierced side is a vantage point for the whole Gospel of John. The pierced heart of Jesus, united with that of Mary, is therefore the key to interpreting not only the Gospel of John but all the Scriptures.

Step 4 The Heart of Jesus, nuptial mysticism at the school of St John and the Song of Songs
Tradition has given great importance to the nuptial dimension of the love of the Heart of Jesus. Founded on Scripture, particularly the Gospel of John re-read in the light of the Song of Songs (1), this has been unfolded in three stages throughout the history of the Church: the medieval period, the 17th century, and the late 19th century. It gives meaning to the different vocations within the Church.

Step 5 The Heart of Jesus as the Apostolic Mystic
The fourth Gospel can be seen as post-baptismal catechesis, linking the signs performed by Jesus with the sacraments by which the communities to whom John was writing lived, and therefore as nourishment for faith. The Book of Revelation, on the other hand, can be seen as a call to hope for Churches facing persecution, and the three letters as a call to charity. After meditating on the testimony of the apostle John in Revelation and in his letters, we will see how the Heart of Jesus is a key to the message of Saint Paul. Texts to follow.

Step 6 The Heart of Jesus and the Sacraments
On the ancient feast of the Sacred Heart, the hymn at Vespers said: «From this heart grace never ceases to flow like a river with seven streams» (a reference to the seven sacraments)1. «Rivers of living water» that irrigate the Church and from which we draw joy, the sacraments enable us to share in the love and life that Jesus himself receives from the Father and wants to pour into our hearts through his pierced side.

Step 7 The Heart of Jesus and Moral Life
«Learn to know the Lord! For all will know me, from the smallest to the greatest. The Heart of Jesus is the place where the Father's Law of love is fulfilled. And the fraternal Heart of Jesus is the place where the Second Commandment is fulfilled.

Step 8 The life of prayer at the School of the Sacred Heart
The Heart of Jesus is the perfect place for prayer because it is where God's thirst and our thirst meet in the human-divine Heart of Christ. Thus, it draws us into adoration.
